Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Don’t Deserve This. Archie is Off-Limits
- Meghan Markle & Prince Harry are suing a photographer for an invasion of privacy.
- The Sussexes are claiming that the photographer took photos of their young son, Archie, without their permission and while they were in a private place.
- Whatever you think of the Sussexes and their approach to the press — and fame — their minor son is off-limits.
Meghan Markle & Prince Harry are going back to court.
The Sussexes are suing the paparazzi for taking — and subsequently selling — a photo of their young son, Archie, while he was in his own home during the lockdown.
Whatever you may think of the “rebel royals,” their minor son is — and should remain — off-limits.
Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Shouldn’t Have Their Privacy Violated
In their quest to protect the privacy of their son, Archie Harrison, Meghan Markle & Prince Harry have enlisted the aid of attorney Michael Kump, who has represented the likes of Sandra Bullock & the Kardashians in similar lawsuits.
According to the Sussexes, the photo in question was not taken during a “public outing” with their young son, but was instead taken in the privacy of their garden. They further allege that the paparazzi — whose name, or names, have not yet been disclosed — utilized both telephoto lenses and drones to obtain the picture, thus denying them the right to privacy as guaranteed under California law.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are filing this lawsuit to protect their young son’s right to privacy in their home without intrusion by photographers, and to uncover and stop those who seek to profit from these illegal actions.
‘No Special Treatment’
What’s more, both Meghan Markle & Prince Harry have made clear that it’s not ‘special treatment’ they’re looking for. Rather, they want the privacy of their minor child to be respected.
And this is not an unreasonable request, regardless of what the detractors of the so-called “Sussex Squad” say.
We can argue from all day about whether Meghan Markle & Prince Harry really want privacy, or whether their moves are calculated and in lock-step with a publicity maven who understands how to “play” the press.
But no matter what his parents do, or don’t do, Archie Harrison is a baby. He deserves the right to privacy in the comfort of his own backyard, without having to worry if the British gutter press, or anyone else, is going to send up a drone to snap his picture when he wants to play. There is absolutely no justification for this egregious violation of a baby’s safety.
